Our Commitment
Peace Projection does not track you, profile you, or sell your data. There are no analytics scripts, no advertising networks, and no embedded social tracking widgets on this website.
Information We Collect
We collect only the information you choose to provide:
- Form submissions - When you fill out a form (contact, applications, stories, waitlist, surveys), we receive the data you submit. It is validated by our server and stored in a private Supabase database. Public browser keys cannot insert into or read these tables directly.
- No account data - We do not require registration or login.
- No cookies - We do not set any cookies for tracking or analytics. A local theme preference is stored in your browser's localStorage for dark/light mode and never sent to any server.
How We Use Your Data
Data you submit through forms is used only for the stated purpose: responding to your message, processing your application, managing a subscription, reviewing a story, or conducting the described research. We disclose it only to service providers needed to operate the site and do not sell it.
Third-Party Services
Our site uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy:
- Netlify - Hosting provider serving the site and processing form requests. Like most hosting services, Netlify may process request metadata such as IP address and user agent for security and operations. Netlify Privacy Policy
- Supabase - Database provider. Form submissions you choose to send are stored in a Supabase Postgres database. Only authorized team members and the server-side submission function can access them; row-level security and revoked public grants prevent browser access. Supabase Privacy Policy
- Abuse prevention - A one-way, secret-keyed hash derived from the request IP address is kept for no more than two days to enforce submission limits. We do not store the raw IP address in our database.
- YouTube, Instagram, TikTok & WhatsApp - External links to our social media profiles. No embedded content or tracking widgets are loaded from these platforms.
Android Application
The website’s privacy information applies to activity on this site. This policy does not verify the permissions or data handling of an installed Android application. Check the app’s own listing and permission settings before installing or using it.
Data Retention & Deletion
- Contact messages and volunteer applications: up to 12 months.
- Anonymous survey responses: up to 24 months, then deleted or irreversibly aggregated.
- Submitted stories: up to 24 months unless you ask us to remove one sooner.
- Waitlist and survey-notification emails: up to 24 months or until the list has served its stated purpose.
- Rate-limit fingerprints: no more than two days.
To request deletion of identifiable data, contact us using the same email address you submitted.
Age and Sensitive Responses
Public surveys and volunteer applications are intended for people aged 13 and older. Survey questions may touch on digital habits or wellbeing, but they are not clinical assessments and should not include names, contact details, or information that identifies another person.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, we will post the changes on this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
